Disclosed is a semiconductor laser, especially a single-mode laser, comprising at least one absorbing layer (8) in the laser resonator thereof, said absorbing layer (8) reducing transmission TRes of the laser beam (10) in the laser resonator so as to decrease sensitivity of the semiconductor laser to disturbances created by radiation (9) that is fed back into the laser resonator, whereby variations of the output power due to radiation (9) feedback are diminished.
