A transmission and reception device for RF appliance has a baseband component (1) and a HF component (3) which are connected via an interface (2) for exchange of useful data in a transmission- and reception-device. The interface has a first differential unidirectional data link (14) for transmission of digital useful data from the baseband component (1) to the HF component (3). A second differential unidirectional data link (12) is used to transmit digital useful data from the high frequency component (3) to the baseband component (1) after conversion in the high frequency component into the baseband and then digitalized. An independent claim is also included for a method for transmitting data between a baseband component and a HF component.
