The securing support means (1) runs from the counter weight (4) to the speed limiter (3) and to the cabin (5). A lift arrester is no longer required. Independent claim describes support means tension unit mounted on counterweight or on cabin whereby the additional support means is always tensioned so that there is sufficient inertia to hold the cabin or counterweight.
