<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet which shows superb ink absorbency; can form an image with high resolving degree; has a peculiar whiteness free from a darkish image in a blank space; and upgrades weatherability and image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet has a porous coloring material receiving layer formed on a support formed of a resin-coated paper having a resin layer formed on both surfaces of a paper base material.
