<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using external characters whereby integrated management of external character information is avoided to reduce the burdens required of the management of external character information while allowing the registered external character information to be easily adapted to a plurality of systems thereby increasing the efficiency of using the external character information. <P>SOLUTION: The method for using predetermined external characters in an electronic application system includes a business form management procedure for managing business forms having external character position information which indicates the position of each external character within the business forms applied to the electronic application system, and an external character substitution procedure for substituting the notation of each external character position into that of an external-character font according to the external character position information of the business forms managed by the business form management procedure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
