<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a coupling part with a connection member for a spirally corrugated metal tube which is formed of a simple structural member, assembled without any special tool, and capable of reducing assembly troubles. <P>SOLUTION: A support ring 2 having coarse threads 2a is screwed in an end part of a corrugated metal tube. A press ring 1 having coarse threads 1a has a flange 1b on the end part of the metal tube. A smooth wall-like area 1c of the press ring 1 is screwed. A seal ring 3 formed of graphite supported on a smooth wall-like area 2b of the support ring 2 is inserted in the end part of the metal tube. The seal ring 3 is deformed and pressed in the axial direction and the radial direction by generating access of flanges 1b and 4b by a screw bolt passed through and guided by a drilled hole in the flange 1b of the press ring 1 and the flange 4b of a connection piece 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
