PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape measuring method for a pipe, allowing highly precise shape measurement of the pipe. SOLUTION: The pipe 10 is rotated while pushing inside correcting rollers 20, 20 and outside correcting rollers 40, 40 against an inner peripheral face 11 and an outer peripheral face 12 of both side end portions 13, 13 of the pipe 10. Therefore, both side end portions 13, 13 of the pipe 10 are plastically deformed to correct its sectional shape. Then, the pushing force of the inside correcting rollers 20, 20 and the outside correcting rollers 40, 40 on the pipe 10 is weakened to put the pipe 10 into the condition of being free of deformation at both side end portions due to the pushing force. In this condition, the pipe is rotated and the displacement of the outer peripheral face 12 of the pipe 10 in the radial direction with the rotation is detected by a plurality of displacement detectors 30.
