PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pallet locking device of a forklift devised to certainly lock a pallet when an operator works on the pallet even if the operator is unaware of it. SOLUTION: This pallet locking device automatically locks the pallet 40 when a guard 8 is opened regardless of awareness of the operator as it is provided with an opening detection means 34 to detect opening of the guard 8 to prevent falling which is provided on a driver's stand 6 lifting up and down with a fork 7 and a control means 35 for controlling an actuator 18 so as to lock the pallet 40 inserted into the fork 7 when the opening of the guard is detected by this opening detection means 34. It is possible to eliminate an expensive acoustic alarm means and troublesome work to relock the pallet by receiving an alarm and consequently possible to reduce a burden of the operator.
