PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for a travel toy, which is detachably attached to a travel toy and can change a running mode of the travel toy at attaching and can be returned to the original running mode at detaching. SOLUTION: This auxiliary device 201 for a travel toy 1 is attachable to a toy body 2 of a travel toy 1 driven by a power source 3 provided on the toy body 2 and comprises a device body 202 and a rocking bar 300. The rocking bar 300 is provided rockably on one side of the toy body 2. The device body 202 is detachably attached to the toy body 2 and has a cam member 280 rotated by the power source 3 of the toy body 2. The cam member 280 directly or indirectly rocks the rocking bar 300 to ground a part 306 of the bar 300 to tilt the toy body 2 to change a running mode of the travel toy 1.
