PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an HMD device which can be used irrespective of whether any defect exists in eyes. SOLUTION: The HMD device comprises a frame 2 which is mountable on the head of a user, an image generating device 5 mounted on the frame 2, a projection optical device 7, a connection device 11, and glasses 12 for compensating the defects of the user's eyes. The glasses 12 have no bow, and can be removably connected to the frame 2 by the connecting device 11.
