Electrochemical sensor has a substrate on which an analysis side (3) can be brought into contact with a solution to be analyzed (4). The analysis side has an arrangement of electrodes. One electrode (7) of non-precious metal is attached to an adhesive base (8) on the solution side of the base. A sealing pore-free outer layer (10) made of a precious metal is placed in contact with the solution.
