METHOD OF BUILDING PILLAR-LIKE GROUND IMPROVING BODY USING STEEL PIPE PILE

A method of building a pillar-like ground improving body using a steel pipe, which method is capable of increasing both support force and yield strength and yet capable of efficient building. It comprises the steps of using a steel pipe pile (1) having, at the front end of a pile steel pipe (2), a laterally extending excavating blade (3), a laterally extending stirring section (4), and a cement milk supply port (5), driving the steel pipe pile (1) into the ground (15) while rotating it, during which step cement milk supplied from the cement milk supply port (5) and earth and sand excavated by the laterally extending excavating blade (3) are mixed in the stirring section (4), allowing the mixture of cement milk and earth and sand around the pile steel pipe (2) to solidify with the steel pipe pile (1) driven into the ground (15), thus forming a pillar-like ground improving body (20) around the pile steel pipe (2).
