<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the illegal use of coins beforehand by correctly identifying regular coins from illegal coins. <P>SOLUTION: A coin 2 with identification information of which the type can be identified, is provided with a predetermined-shaped coin body 4 and an identifying part 6 installed in the coin body. In this case, identification information to identify types of coins is recorded in the identifying part, and the identification information recorded in the identifying part is read based on reflection data reflected from the identifying part when an external factor acts on the identifying part.
