PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tone information providing system capable of generating an RBT or the like according to a tone set by a user without imposing a load onto a communication terminal to the utmost. SOLUTION: The tone information providing system 10 is provided with: a registration section 101 for storing a telephone number of a mobile phone 30 used by the user and tone information selected by the user to a tone information storage section 110 in cross-reference with each other on the basis of registration information transmitted from the mobile phone 30; a reception section 102 for receiving call information including a telephone number of the mobile phone 30 transmitted from the mobile phone 30; a tone information selection section 103 for selecting tone information corresponding to the telephone number included in the received call information from the tone information stored in the tone information storage section 110; and a transmission section 104 for transmitting the selected tone information to the mobile phone 30.
