PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of designating network address setting to a control apparatus by a simple operation. SOLUTION: Any of control units 11, 12, 13, 14transmits network address request data according to the sequence of power application to the control units 11, 12, 13, 14or to which a unit ID is attached, the unit ID being set by a simple entry means (113). An information processing apparatus 2 has a cross-reference list between the sequence of power application to the control units 11, 12, 13, 14or the unit ID and a network address corresponding thereto, and informs the control units 11, 12, 13, 14or the like about the network address decided for the control units 11, 12, 13, 14or the like.
