PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layer electronic device and a multi-layer capacitor. SOLUTION: A window via capacitor 40a includes a stacked multi-layer structure composed of a bottom layer 42, a plurality of first and second layers 10, 18, a transition layer 24 and a cover layer 30. Each of the first and second layers 10 and 18 is provided with a respective electrode plate 14 or 20 thereon, alternatively in a pair. The cover layer 30 formed a plurality of openings 32a, 32b, 34a, and 34b to expose parts of first and second transition layer electrodes 26, 28, is provided to cover the first and second transition layer electrodes 26, 28. First and second peripheral terminations 44, 46 are formed along the sides of the multi-layer structure to electrically connect the electrode layer 14 and the first transition layer electrode 26, and the electrode layer 20 and the second transition layer electrode 28.
