DETECTING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MERCURY OR AMALGAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for automatic detection of existence of mercury or amalgam in a fluorescent lamp with mercury or amalgam sealed into it without providing an additional inspection process period. SOLUTION: Whether or not amalgam is sealed into a request part is easily decided by deciding the quantity of ultra-violet rays in the straight part of a narrow pipe valve, in which amalgam is sealed in. Furthermore, the sure inspection for existence of amalgam can be carried out in a short period of time without providing the additional inspection process period. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
