PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the glossiness to a peripheral edge part of a door body and to improve the design of the entire door body with respect to the design of the door body of a refrigerator. SOLUTION: This heat insulating door is composed of an outer plate 17 made out of a steel plate, a transparent resin panel 18 covering a surface of the outer plate 17, resin caps 19, 20 mounted on upper and lower parts of the outer plate 17, an inner plate 21, and a heat insulating material 22 foamed and packed between the outer plate 17 and inner plate 21, and the resin caps 19, 20. As the outer plate 17 and the transparent resin panel 18 covering the surface of the outer plate 17 have the approximately gate-shape having side wall faces 23, 24, the light applied to the transparent resin is deflected by a side face round part of the door body, which provides the feeling like a lens in the transparent resin, whereby the design of the peripheral edge part of the door body can be improved in comparison with a conventional one, and further the design of the entire door body can be improved.
