<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a long item containing member in which work of connecting long item containing members to each other can be easily conducted, and a long item containing device using the connector. <P>SOLUTION: A trough 12 is composed of a base body 14 and a cover body 15 into a form of a square cylinder. On a wall surface of the base body 14, base outside projections 14a are formed, and base recesses 14c are formed on the inner side of the base outside projections 14a. The connector 11 is provided with a connector main body 16 that is U-shaped in a front view, and a pair of engagement parts 20 are formed in the connector main body 16. The engagement parts 20 are respectively engaged in the base recesses 14c on the end part side of the base body 14 adjoining. The base bodies 14 are thus connected to each other by the connector 11.
