PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a padded key mechanism for a woodwind instrument in which no change in the mounting angle of a padded key cup itself is required even though the padded key cup is mounted to an arm in a tilted manner, the padded key can be tilted with respect to the padded key cup so that the key becomes parallel to the opening end face of a branching tube and a tone hole is surely closed.
SOLUTION: A pedestal 21 is connected to a padded key cup 11 in a freely tilted and moving manner by the engagement of a boss 50 and a recessed section 51. A padded key 10 is tightly adhered to the pedestal 21 and a padded key press 31 is screwed into the pedestal 21 so that the key 10 is sandwiched and fixed with the pedestal 21. Adhesive 22 is filled into the cup 11 and the key 10 is pressed to an opening end face 5a of a branching tube 5. When the cup 11 is tilted with respect to a tone hole 2, the pedestal 21 is moved and tilted to correct the tilt. The adhesive 22 is hardened while the key 10 is pressed to the end face 5a of the tube 5 and the pedestal 21 is fixed within the cup 11.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
|
