PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration of an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer that can be molded even with a waveguide having a fine structure. SOLUTION: The optical multiplexer/demultiplexer 5 is equipped with a multimode waveguide 1, a plurality of narrow-width linear waveguides 8 and 9 which are connected to an input side or output side of the multimode waveguide 1, a plurality of induction waveguides 10 and 11 which are connected to the plurality of narrow-width linear waveguides 8 and 9 respectively so that their adjacency intervals are both larger than the maximum interval between the two connected narrow-width linear waveguides 8 and 9, and a plurality of external connection waveguides 3 and 4 which are connected to the plurality of induction waveguides 10 and 11 so that their adjacency intervals are both larger than the maximum interval of the two narrow-width linear waveguides 8 and 9 connected through the induction waveguides 10 and 11 and wider than the narrow-width linear waveguides 8 and 9.
