PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly reliable pipe coupling with a small tool. SOLUTION: This sleeve type pipe joint 10 comprises: a joint body 11 having a cylindrical part 12 inserted to an inner periphery of a connection pipe 30; and an approximately cylindrical sleeve 20 arranged to a periphery of the connection pipe 30, and having a small diameter part 21 capable of coming into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the connection pipe 30, and a large diameter part 24 coupled to the small diameter part 21 via a thin wall part 26. By compressing the sleeve 20 in an axial direction, the thin wall part 26 is sheared and the large diameter part 24 rides on an outer periphery of the small diameter part 21, to reduce a diameter of the small diameter part 21, whereby the connection pipe 30 is held between the cylindrical part 12 and the sleeve 20 and is connected. The small diameter part 21 is provided with at least one cut and divided part 28 along the axial direction from one end to the other end, and at least one axial direction groove 29 is provided to the outer periphery of the small diameter part 21.
