PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency reporting method and an apparatus thereof capable of easily correlating an emergency report by the call of the occupant of a vehicle to the present position of the vehicle and recognizing the correlated information. SOLUTION: When the occupant of a vehicle operates an emergency call switch 19, an on-vehicle information terminal device 10 establishes a call line between a hands-free phone 18 and the telephone 26 of a center 20 to enable a call between the occupant and an operator. Also, the apparatus 10 transmits present position information indicating the present position of the vehicle to the center 20. Upon receiving the present position information, the center 20 releases reception information, correlates the reception information to the present position information, and displays the correlated information on a display device 24. The center 20 transmits the released reception information to the apparatus 10. The apparatus 10 displays the reception information on a display device 17. In this way, the occupant gives the operator the reception information by conversation, and the operator can correlates the current conversation to the present position of the vehicle very easily.
