PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior wall structure which is constructed by an outside insulation method, which enables a heat insulating material, vertical furring strips, etc. to be easily constructed in a framework, and which enables a load of the vertical furring strips and that of an external facing material, provided in a tensioned state on the vertical furring strips, to be surely borne by the framework. SOLUTION: When the heat insulating material B is provided in a tensioned state between adjacent vertical shaft materials A and A such as a column, an inside mounting piece 4, which is integrally provided at the inner end of a leg piece part 2, is fixedly attached to the outer surface of the shaft material A by means of a screw in such a manner that the vertical leg piece part 2 of a supporting fitting 1 composed of a metallic plate is interposed between side end surfaces of the heat insulating materials B and B facing each other on the outer surface of the shaft material A; and an L-shaped cross-section outside mounting piece 3, which is integrally formed at the outer end of the leg piece part 2, is protruded outward from the heat insulating material B so that the vertical furring strips C, which are arranged on the heat insulating material B, can be covered with the mounting piece 3 and fixed to the supporting fitting 1 by means of a screw.
