PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-armed star-shaped polymer having at least one polyolefin chain as its arm, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The three-armed star-shaped polymer comprises one polyolefin arm P<SP>1</SP>and two polymer arms P<SP>2</SP>and is represented by general formula (I) [wherein X is a bonding group containing an oxygen atom; P<SP>1</SP>is a polymer chain obtained by homopolymerizing or copolymerizing an olefin represented by CH<SB>2</SB>=CHR<SP>1</SP>(wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a group or an atom selected among a 1-20C hydrocarbon group, a hydrogen atom and a halogen atom); and P<SP>2</SP>is a polyolefin or a polar group-containing polymer chain].
