PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measure for reducing to a minimum the damage of pollinosis attributable to the pollen of Japanese cedar and/or cypress. SOLUTION: A composition for suppressing the differentiation of the flower buds of Japanese cedar and/or cypress is provided, containing as active ingredient(s) one or more phytohormones selected from the group consisting of ethyl 5-chloro-3(1H)-indazolyl acetate, indolebutyric acid, cloxyfonac, 4-CPA, dichlorprop, gibberellin, daminozide, trinexapac-ethyl, benzylaminopurine, and salts thereof.
