摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a defective nozzle of an inkjet head capable of suitably specifying the nozzle getting into discharge failure among a plurality of the nozzles provided to the inkjet head, and a coating apparatus. SOLUTION: This method for detecting the defective nozzle of the inkjet head includes a pattern selecting process (first process) for selecting a liquid droplet discharge pattern, a discharge process (second process) for discharging liquid droplets on the basis of the discharge pattern, a detection process (third process) for detecting liquid droplets by a detection mechanism and a treatment process (fourth process) for specifying the defective nozzle on the basis of a first output signal (a) supposed to be outputted from the detection mechanism and second output signals (b)-(d) outputted from the detection mechanism in the detection process.
