PURPOSE: A method and a device for inputting/outputting data to be concealed by coding the data are provided to enable a controller of a recording device to issue a next secure command after waiting as much as estimated time necessary in order that a storage device may execute a secure command, after issuing the secure command to the storage device, thereby inputting/outputting coded data. CONSTITUTION: A contents encoder(105) encodes obtained contents. A coder(104) codes the encoded contents, and issues a contents key for decoding the coded contents. The coded contents are recorded in a storage device(200) via a data bus(110) and a storage interface(102). A coding engine(103) is informed of the contents key, while the contents key is recorded in the storage device(200) through the coding engine(103). To input license data including the contents key to the storage device(200), the coding engine(103) controls coding communication with the storage device(200). The storage interface(102) controls an input and an output of data with the storage device(200). A controller(101) overall controls components of a recording device(100).
