<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of discharging performance in the case of repeated charging and discharging in a nickel-hydrogen storage battery with nickel hydroxide as an active material for a positive electrode added with zinc as solid solution and using a hydrogen storage alloy containing manganese as an active material for a negative electrode. <P>SOLUTION: In the nickel-hydrogen storage battery provided with the positive electrode 1 with nickel hydride containing zinc as solid solution as the active material, the negative electrode 2 with hydrogen storage alloy containing manganese as the active material, and alkaline electrolyte solution, a condition of B/A≥0.08 is to be satisfied when a weight of manganese contained in the hydrogen storage alloy in the negative electrode is A, and a weight of nickel dissolved in the alkaline electrolyte solution is B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
