<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a technology for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber and excellently self-igniting the fuel even when the fuel of low ignitability such as LP gas is used without need of any expensive additives in a diesel engine 100 having the combustion chamber comprising a main chamber 1 in which fresh air I is sucked and an auxiliary chamber 10 communicating with the main chamber 1 through a communication passage 23, and a fuel injection means 30 for injecting fuel G into the auxiliary chamber 10. <P>SOLUTION: Heated oxygen containing gas supply means 31, 40, 42 for supplying heated oxygen containing gas HA at a temperature higher than the fresh air I to the auxiliary chamber 10 without passing through the main chamber 1 are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
