<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To practically, simply and accurately control a diffusion combustion rate at a low load and a premixed combustion rate at a medium/high load respectively according to the quality of fuel. <P>SOLUTION: A control device for a diesel engine is provided with correction means (15, 49, 21) for executing correction to the side where the diffusion combustion rate during combustion increases as a correlation value of an aromatic hydrocarbon content in used fuel becomes larger than that of standard fuel by using a diffusion combustion rate control means under an operational condition that the engine load is smaller than a predetermined value, and for executing correction to the side where the premixed combustion rate during combustion increases as the correlation value of the aromatic hydrocarbon content in the used fuel becomes larger than that of the standard fuel by using a premixed combustion rate control means under an operational condition that the engine load is larger than the predetermined value, on the basis of detection results of a means (36) for detecting the load of an engine and means (7, 21, 37) for detecting the correlation value of the aromatic hydrocarbon content in the used fuel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
