<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high intensity discharge lamp capable of being mounted easily even when an available space of the back of a head light is limited. <P>SOLUTION: The high intensity discharge lamp is structured so as to have the slide action of a moving part 3 in a back and forth direction through a linkage 7 and a first shaft 5 by operating a second shaft 6 by a drive mechanism 4, and to have the linear slide action of a discharge tube 2 fixed at the moving part 3 to the back and forth direction. Furthermore, the drive mechanism 4 is arranged nearly at a right angle direction to an axis of the discharge tube 2, and also, the second shaft 6 is operated to move in an up and down direction by the drive mechanism 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
