<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a single kind of a packing material responsive to corrugate pipes having different shape tolerance. <P>SOLUTION: The joint structure is to be buried in water bottom ground in the sea, and it comprises joint plates 12, the packing material 14, and bolts and nuts 16 for fastening. The joint plate 12 is provided with a curvature part 12a and a flange part 12b. The packing material 14 is provided with a core material 14a, and surface and backing materials 14b and 14c. The core material 14a is composed of a synthetic rubber plate having relatively small compression performance, while the surface and the backing material 14b and 14c are composed of foam rubber of relatively large compression performance. In connecting the corrugate pipes 10, opening ends of the corrugate pipes 10 are applied to each other, the packing material 14 is wound around them, and a pair of the joint plates 14 are installed around the packing material 14.
