<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kidney stem cell/precursor cell, to provide a method for isolating the same, and to provide a method for curing nephropathy. <P>SOLUTION: The method for isolating the cell comprises separating nephron 1 by microdissection into S1 segment 11, PCT12, S2 segment 13, S3 segment 14, Helen's loop 5, and glomeruli 2, and then culturing the cells of the respective sites in a culture liquid prepared by adding a water-soluble dexamethasone so as to be 5×10<SP>-7</SP>M in the final concentration to a mixed liquid containing 20 mL of DMEM/F12, 200μL of ITS-mix, 5 pg of HGF, 100μL of 1M nicotinamide, 20 mL of a supporting cell culture liquid, 10% of FCS, 100 unit/mL of penicillin G and 100 mg/mL of streptomycin.
