<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device and an electrooptical panel, capable of effectively suppressing damage to the electrooptical panel by contact with an external input means. <P>SOLUTION: This electrooptical device 1A adopts a touch panel type wherein a touch pen P that is the input means is contacted with a liquid crystal display panel 2 to allow input of information from the outside. The liquid crystal display panel 2 has a display face 2a displaying an information input screen for inputting information. A protection member 3 is provided on the liquid crystal display panel 2. The protection member 3 has a hard layer 31 of a harder material than the touch pen P.
