PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of electronic equipment. SOLUTION: User identification is carried out through a network 15 between a setting data management server 16 and a digital portable telephone set with camera installed in an automobile 11, and when a user is identified, setting data are downloaded from the setting data management server 16 to the digital portable telephone set with camera. Afterwards, the user identification is carried out via a connection part between the digital portable telephone set with camera and the setting device of the automobile 11, and when the user is identified, the setting data are transmitted from the digital portable telephone set with camera to the setting device. The setting device changes the setting data associated with the condition of each part of the automobile 11. Thus, it is possible to set and update the condition of the automobile 11 according to the tastes of the user. This invention can be applied to an automobile, for example.
