PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen treatment system capable of continuous and efficient treatment of a large number of specimens and capable of shortening the treatment waiting time at the time of treatment of an urgent specimen. SOLUTION: An autoanalyzer used in the specimen treatment system is equipped with an analyzing mechanism for analyzing living body specimens, a feed mechanism for feeding a specimen rack to the analyzing mechanism and feeding the specimen rack, after the dispensation of specimens is completed from the analyzing mechanism; a specimen buffer capable of housing a plurality of specimen containers, having housed specimens to supply the arbitrary specimen container among the specimen containers to the feed mechanism and capable of housing the specimen containers returned from the analyzing mechanism through the feed mechanism; and a specimen supply part for supplying the specimens to the specimen buffer and a specimen housing part for housing the specimens from the specimen buffer. Using this constitution, a sufficient region for a revision buffer or the like is ensured, while keeping the size of the analyzer compact to rapidly correspond to a measuring demand of an urgent specimen or the like.
