PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive reduction gear capable of reducing vibration and tooth hummer sound occurring in a worm shaft and a worm wheel. SOLUTION: Dynamic vibration absorbers 29 are disposed inside the worm wheel 12. A circular arc storing grooves 30 are disposed in a side face of the worm wheel 12. Each storing groove 30 stores a weight 32. The weight 32 is elastically supported by a pair of viscous/elastic bodies 33 from both sides in each storing groove 30. One end of each viscous/elastic body 33 is fixed to the weight 32, and the other end is fixed to the corresponding end of the storing groove 30. The weight 32 in each storing groove 30 vibrates in the rotating direction of the worm wheel 12 to suppress circumferential vibration of the worm wheel 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
