PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden cover for a side ditch simply and easily cuttable by an ordinary woodworking saw when cut in a required dimension and a shape. SOLUTION: This wooden cover for the side ditch is constituted by respectively driving, joining and connecting wooden bar-shaped materials 100 and 200 in and to these holes so as to reach the other end square bar 5 from one end square bar 1 by penetratingly boring the connecting holes 11, 21 to 51, and 12, 22 to 52 of two places in a plurality of respective columnar square bars 1 to 5. The holes are a round hole, and the driving bar-shaped materials 100 and 200 are a cross-sectional polygonal column. A diameterϕof the round hole is set smaller than a diameterΦof a polygonal circumscribed circle having a cross section of a columnar material.
