PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ungelled polymer polyol. SOLUTION: This ungelled polymer polyol is manufactured by copolymerization of water, tetrahydrofuran and a polyfunctional epoxy resin by the use of an acid catalyst. The polyol can be hardened by a hardener reactable with OH such as an amino resin and a polyisocyanate to form a thermosetting coating having useful characteristics. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
