PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair drier where many negative ions are released stably and there is no possibility of causing an electric shock. SOLUTION: A rectifier D1 which supplies power to a DC motor M which functions as the driving source of the occurrence of an air stream and a negative ion generator ION releasing the negative ions to the air stream are connected in parallel with respect to an AC power source. A conductive part 12 located on the downstream side of the negative ion generator in the air stream is connected with the DC motor via conductive materials 14 and R2.
