PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of of the airtight inspection of airtight space in a display substrate unit for a rice cooker which houses liquid crystal supported by a display substrate inside the airtight space formed by combining a cover panel and the outer periphery of a substrate cover air tight. SOLUTION: A hollow protrusion 23 communicating with the inside of the airtight space 8 is formed in the substrate cover 7 of the display substrate unit 4. A fragile part 25 which is easy to cut off is formed at a part of the hollow protrusion 23. In the case of being the subject of an inspection, the hollow protrusion 23 is cut off at the fragile part 25 to bore a hole 26 for the inspection, and the hole 26 is closed after finishing the inspection.
