PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type electrically driven machine for plant husbandry capable of suppressing dashing phenomena more, having heightened tillage performance and capable of reducing load on an operator. SOLUTION: The walking type electrically driven machine 10 for plant husbandry is a tiller carrying out a tillage operation by tilling tines attached to a tilling shaft by attaching an electrically driven motor 11 to the upper part of a machine body, attaching the tilling tines through the tilling shaft at the lower part of a machine body and extending an operation handle 18 rearward from the machine body to transmit the power of an electrically driven motor to the tilling shaft. The walking type electrically driven machine has a speed-detecting part 61 for detecting the actual speed of the electrically driven motor, speed regulation-operating switches 91 to 93 for regulating a set speed of the electrically driven motor, and a controlling part 102 for controlling the set speed so as to be reduced by a prescribed value when the condition of the true speed exceeding a threshold value obtained by adding a previously set prescribed speed to the set speed is achieved.
