PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient use of a recording area of a recording medium, and to improve a degree of freedom setting a regeneration sequence and a regeneration time of image information. SOLUTION: In a technique for recording the image information onto a recording medium, time information for regenerating each set of the image information is added, and each image information set is recorded, in order of the regeneration, on the recording medium as a single file. Also, in the technique for recording the image information onto the recording medium, a plurality of image information sets, each having the regeneration time information added thereon, are arranged in order of regeneration, and recorded on the recording medium as a single file having a plurality of images. A single image information set having arbitrary regeneration time information added thereon is recorded on the record medium as a single image file.
