A dosage indicator (A) for a device dispensing a fluid product (B), characterized in that it comprises a rotary counter wheel (10) which can be rotationally displaced by a translational element (20) which can be translationally displaced. The counter wheel comprises indicating means (15) which indicate the number of doses dispensed or to be dispensed, cooperates with a viewing window (25) provided in the translational element (20). The counter wheel (10) has a hollow profiled section (18) which cooperates with a projection (28) of the translational element (20). The shape of the hollow profiled section (18) is such that at least certain rotations of said rotary counter wheel (10) result in a translation of said translational element (20), modifying the position of the translational element (20) in relation to the counter wheel (10).
