<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufacturable paper sheet discriminating sensor capable of accurately and surely discriminating even a fine tape or seal by suppressing the influence of mutual electrodes, and eliminating the influence of any external noise such as static electricity. <P>SOLUTION: In this paper sheet discriminating sensor for discriminating the condition of a paper sheet carried on a carriage path according to the change of capacitance between opposite electrodes arranged on the carriage path of the paper sheet, those electrodes are embedded in a dielectric to form a sensor main body, and a conductive material whose surface resistance value is 10<SP>4</SP>to 10<SP>9</SP>Ω is disposed on the surface of the paper sheet passage face side of the sensor main body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
