<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for correcting color unevenness capable of properly correcting the color unevenness which is hardly predictable from individual components of the liquid crystal display device even in case of the occurrence of such color unevenness in a display image and an image display device corrected of the color unevenness of the display image. <P>SOLUTION: An image display part of the image display device is provided with a color unevenness correction film and the correction film is made to generate the complementary color of the color unevenness in correspondence to the color unevenness of the display image.
