PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluorene compound, for example, suitably usable as a light-emitting material of an organic electroluminescent element. SOLUTION: The fluorene compound is represented by formula (1) [wherein, R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>6</SB>are each independently a substituent; n<SB>1</SB>to n<SB>6</SB>are each 0 or an integer of 1-3; each of R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>6</SB>can form a ring with the neighboring group; A and B are not the same group, and each a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group; (n) is 1 or 2; with the proviso that a case in which A and B are simultaneously an aryl group is excluded].
