PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a both-way deflection circuit for sufficiently suppressing an amplitude variation components of the horizontal deflection current, due to disturbance in a vertical return line period, using non-regulation and easy configuration. SOLUTION: A horizontal deflection circuit 6 includes a voltage generation circuit 20, a pulse generation circuit 30, a resonance circuit 60K and a resonant frequency regulation circuit 80. Furthermore, the resonance circuit 60K includes a horizontal deflection coil 60 and a resonant capacitor 61. The resonance frequency regulation circuit 80 includes a transistor 81, and a regulation capacitor 82. In the resonant circuit 60K, the horizontal deflection coil 60 and resonant capacitor 61 are resonated by applying rectangular voltage. The resonance frequency regulation circuit 80 connects the regulation capacitor 82 to the resonance capacitor 61, in parallel in the vertical return line period, and the regulation capacitor 82 is separated from the resonant capacitor 61 in a vertical effective scanning period.
