PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive capable of judging the chucking of an optical disk precisely. SOLUTION: When an optical disk drive 1 chucks an optical disk D, the drive 1 measures focus driving voltages by performing focus servos at two points, i.e., a point near the center of the optical disk D and a point near the outer circumference of the disk D in a state in which the disk is not rotated but stopped, and judges the inclination angle of the disk D on the basis of the measured values. As a result, the state of the chucking of the disk can be judged without rotating the disk, and hence it can be prevented that the disk is scratched or the optical disk drive is damaged even when the state of the chucking is incorrect.
